We work closely with schools, helping them to understand the employment and career opportunities within the New Zealand and international fashion industry.
We provide opportunities for students to come and visit NZFT and take part in Gateway, Work Choice and STAR Programmes.

The Workchoice Trust uses NZ Fashion Tech as the only tertiary fashion provider in the country to host students, teachers and careers advisors on a one day ‘Fashion Familiarisation’ programme, thereby attracting the younger age group to the programmes in the future.

Your Work Choice Day With Us
NZ fashion Tech, has a special arrangement with the Work choice trust where participating students, technical teachers and career advisers all become involved in a four team based game workshops over a full day.
Each ‘game’ demonstrates a vital principle of employment in the New Zealand and International fashion environment and is also a fun way to learn.
The competition between the teams also adds to the excitement of the day.
The great thing about these work choice days is that a school can send from 1 or 2 students who may be interested in a fashion career or even 15 to 20.
