Diploma Showcase Events
Each year our students create a stunning display at our Diploma Showcase events. Their ranges clearly demonstrate the high level of technical and creative skills we help them develop on their journey though our Diploma Programme.
At the end of two intensive years of study, students on the Diploma Programme with NZ Fashion Tech, produce a Diploma Showcase for industry, family and friends.
Their brief is to create a commercial, ready to wear collection, for a chosen and researched target market. Their ranges are supported by all necessary technical patterns and documentation, to enable them to go into production immediately after the show.
Our Showcase events are attended by leading industry figures and our Diploma graduates now become part of the 86% of our enrolled students, who progress into employment with in the industry, or move onto another programmes with us.
We delight in seeing our students ranges on the runway. Together with their family and friend ,we are hugely proud of them and in what they have achieved.

2011 Kleenex Cottonelle
This year we were proud to work with Kleenex Cotonelle to produce a couture collection. The lesson was to "Prepare a cocktail garment to a client brief".
Kimberly-Clark approached NZ Fashion Tech, asking for gowns to be made from Kleenex Cottonelle toilet tissue, as part of their national marketing campaign, from which three winners would be chosen.
The resulting design brief was to "Create a glamorous and luxurious cocktail gown", displaying the tissue's ribbed air-weave texture, after being bonded onto fine fusing for strength.
The design had to invoke a sense of softness, but be durable enough to survive over 10 catwalk shows at NZ Fashion Week, and numerous fashion shoots and promotions.
Design and Story Boards we prepared, consultations with the client were held, and we are proud to present the three winners, together by selections from the entire Auckland and Wellington collections. Photos of these can be found in the Flickr galleries of the Auckland and Wellington Shows.
Photo Books
This year we are proud to offer high quality, hard cover photo books for both the Auckland and Wellington collections.
