We work closely with schools, helping them to understand the employment and career opportunities within the New Zealand and international fashion industry.
We provide opportunities for students to come and visit NZFT and take part in Gateway, Work Choice and STAR Programmes.
CATE
NZ Fashion Tech is a major sponsor of the biennial CATE
(Careers Advisors and Technical Educators) Conference.
What is CATE?
The Careers & Transition Education Association (Aotearoa) Ltd, widely referred to as CATE. Are a professional organisation for the career and transition education sectors.

CATE's main focus surrounds the education and career pathways of youth and their journey into employment, training and further education.
Our members are mainly school careers advisors, transition teachers, STAR, Gateway and Youth Apprenticeship Coordinators.
Other members include those in associated areas, such as career services, tertiary training, local government, private business and industry training organisations.
